All CGL auction packages will be trackable and insured. Your tracking numbers will be emailed once items are packaged and ready to ship (see below for timeline).
Most CGL 2026 auction packages under $500 will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
*Exceptions! The following will be shipped via UPS Ground and require an Adult Signature upon delivery: all signed scripts, high value auction items/packages, etc.
When possible, CGL will combine shipping if multiple items are won by the same buyer. If one item requires a poster tube and another requires a box or flat, two separate packages will have to be shipped.
* LOCAL auction item pick-up may be arranged IF you live within an hour of Boston, MA! Just contact CGL if that is an option you're interested in, because then you would not have to pay for shipping!
REALISTIC Shipping Timeline
Shipping will start in late April. I alone am responsible for the invoicing, packaging, labels, and shipping of all auction items! In addition, people are still experiencing longer-than-usual shipping delays from all carriers due to many events that are out of my control, so I really appreciate your patience!
CGL's fiscal sponsor FJC has to verify and process payments from ALL winning bidders, so please note: it will take 3-4 weeks AFTER you've paid your invoices before items will start to be shipped out to winning bidders in the 2026 Cancer Gets Lost Online Charity Auction!
In order to avoid fraud, which sadly has been an issue in the past, CGL takes extra time to confirm absolutely every aspect of each winning bidder’s payment information.
PAYMENT DETAILS (POST-AUCTION)
**If you win an item in the 2026 CGL Online Charity Auction: PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PAYMENT BEFORE YOU RECEIVE YOUR INVOICE FROM CGL, VIA EMAIL within 24 hours of auction close!!**
CGL will email itemized invoices to ALL winning bidders within 24 hours of auction close, with the exact amount owed for all items you win.
In the email with your invoice, there will be a link to the Cancer Gets Lost PayPal account (the same one linked in the DONATE button on CGL's website), for winning bidders to complete payment.
**Please do NOT go directly to the PayPal site or app to make payment; you MUST use the PayPal link on our website in order for the winning bid payments to be made to our fiscal sponsor FJC, for them to process. If you try to make a payment via the PayPal site or app, FJC will never see or process it.
When you click on the Donate button on our website to pay for your auction item(s), please note: a new window or tab will open, and it will say “Donate toFJC - A Foundation of Philanthropic Funds/Cancer Gets Lost.” That is the correct location to make payment! CGL's fiscal sponsor FJC oversees the CGL PayPal account exclusively.
PLEASE make sure that you enter the exact amount from your invoice when you make your PayPal payment!
Payment is expected in full within 7 calendar days of the day the invoice is received. The only acceptable method of payment is PayPal, which must be made directly to the Cancer Gets LOST PayPal account, accessible externally and only on CancerGetsLost.org. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you will be able to use a credit card via PayPal.

BY EITHER REGISTERING TO BID OR PLACING A BID, THE BIDDER ACCEPTS THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS OF SALE AND ENTERS INTO A LEGALLY, BINDING, ENFORCEABLE AGREEMENT WITH CANCER GETS LOST (“CGL”).
Bidder and Cancer Gets Lost agree that any agreements between the Bidder and CGL, including but not limited to these Conditions of Sale, are entered into in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which is where the agreements are to be performed and the auction is to take place, no matter where Bidder is situated and no matter by what means or where Bidder was informed of the auction and regardless of whether catalogs, materials, or other communications were received by Bidder in another location. Both CGL and the Bidder agree that any disputes under these Conditions of Sale, the subject matter hereof, the entering into, or any aspect of the auction, shall be exclusively governed by Massachusetts law, and that any and all claims or actions shall be brought and maintained only in Middlesex County, MA in a State or Federal Court to the exclusion of any other venue, locale or jurisdiction. All parties submit to such jurisdiction.
1. Starting Bids: In addition to descriptive information, each entry in the catalog includes a starting bid, which is the price that starts the bidding for the item. Starting bids are prepared well in advance of the sale and can be subject to revision.
2. Advance Inquiries: Bidders are encouraged to send inquiries pertaining to the auction, as a whole and/or individual lot. You may also request condition reports. CGL strongly urges the bidder to resolve any questions PRIOR TO BIDDING.
3. Bidding: Property is auctioned in consecutive numerical order, as it appears in the catalog. Cancer Gets Lost shall determine all opening bids and bidding increments. The auctioneer has the absolute discretionary right to reject any bid in the event of dispute between bidders or if the auctioneer has doubt as to the validity of any bid, to advance the bidding and to determine the successful bidder in the event of a dispute between bidders, to continue the bidding or to reoffer and resell the lot in question. In the event of a dispute after the sale, CGL’s record of final sale shall be conclusive.
4. Internet Bids: Cancer Gets Lost is pleased to provide online bidding in real-time. However, CGL is not and cannot be responsible or liable for any problems, delays, or any other issues or problems resulting from use of the Internet generally or specifically, including but not limited to transmission, execution or processing of bids. On some occasions beyond the control of CGL, the bidding software or the Internet itself may not physically keep up with the pace of the auction. In order to help avoid disappointment, CGL recommends placing a realistic absentee bid as early as possible.
5. Successful Bids: The proverbial fall of the auctioneer’s hammer indicates the final bid. CGL will record the paddle number of the buyer. Winning bidders shall be notified with an invoice and payment instructions within 3 days following the conclusion of the auction.
6. Payment: Payment is expected in full within 7 calendar days of the day the invoice is received. This includes the final bid price + shipping cost. The only acceptable method of payment is PayPal, which must be made directly to the Cancer Gets LOST PayPal account (accessible externally, ONLY on CancerGetsLost.org).
