I’m a Contemporary Canadian Visual Artist, born in Edmonton, Alberta, enjoyed childhood on the prairies, and have been living on the West Coast since 1970, now in Vancouver, BC. My paintings reflect coastal influences of water,skies, beaches, mountains, nature—sometimes invoking a sense of mystery, spirituality; intuitive painting drawing on the subconscious and include abstractions. Artworks are acrylics on canvas or on cradled wood panels, using brushes, palette knives, sometimes incorporating texture. I’ve enjoyed successful participation in several live painting competitions including Art Battle, Vancouver Art Attack, and Harmony Art Festival Plein Air Challenge. As an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists I’ve been juried into many exhibitions. Since 1975 I've exhibited in very many solo and group shows and won many awards; my oils, egg temperas, watercolours and acrylics hang in numerous private and corporate collections.
