Corvus Black was inspired by the stillness of the landscape, crows flying overhead, their calls echoing across frozen fields.

About Sally:
Following a long creative career in glass and ceramics, in 2011, I discovered a passion for working in wood.
I use native English timbers creating decorative open hollow forms in green wood. These forms are carved, textured and decorated, creating striking black and white surfaces, often with the addition of gold and silver leaf.
In 2015 I received a bursary from the Worshipful Company of Turners to enable study with Jacques Vesery. Also in 2015 I was selected as a ‘talented’ emerging maker by the UK Craft Council and participated in their ‘Hothouse’ program.
Now working as a professional maker, my work is in several private collections around the world and I am currently represented by the CAA Gallery in London.
I am a member of the RPT (Registry of Professional Turners) and the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
I make work to commission as well as providing pieces for interior designers and architects for both corporate and domestic clients.
