Color glossy 8" x 10" photo of the fictional cartoon band, The Archies, from The Archie Show (Filmation Associates, 1968-1969). Signed by Ron Dante, who was the lead singer for the band. In fine condition.

(b.1945) Ron Dante is an American singer, songwriter, session vocalist, and record producer. Dante is best known as the lead singer for the fictional cartoon band The Archies, as well as the one-hit wonder group The Cuff Links. In 1968, when his old buddy Don Kirshner was tapped as music director for the upcoming Saturday morning cartoon The Archie Show (1968), Ron won the role as the lead singing voice for the animated group. Over next three years, Ron, along with songwriter-producer Jeff Barry, cranked out over 100 Archies tunes, the most popular unarguably being the #1 hit of 1969, "Sugar, Sugar". From 1973 to 1981, Dante was the record producer for singer Barry Manilow, and often sang backup on Manilow's recordings, including the 1974 #1 single “Mandy."
