While the characters in Shadow of The Turning set out on an adventure that will claim the lives of some, there remains an idyllic garden in the hearts filled with poppies in the garden, where the Gelkandar gather and take flight as birds. Vincent Van Gogh once wrote, “I dream my painting and I paint my dream”. Mulling this over while creating this work, Binh Pho realized that in painting the dream, he not only need a brush, but a brush with heart.
