Lucille Ball handwritten note to Edith Head, asking her to be designer on a TV special co-starring Bob Hope. Written on a sheet of orange notebook paper, 9" x 11". In full: "Edith, I saw that work you had for us earlier [sic] Edith -- I have to have you for a show Bob Hope and I are doing in 64 -- One hour special - "Mr & Mrs TV show" [sic] Please look for a note asking for your skill for this [sic] 'Wishing' -- Love Lucy Ball." This TV special was based on a Sherwood Schwartz play, and aired on April 19, 1964. The hour-long special had Lucy portraying a fictional woman television studio boss who wants Hope to star in a TV show about the perfect married couple. The letter has some toning. Otherwise, the writing remains legible. In very good condition.
