Priced dust jacket with creasing at the corners, discrete color touch-up at the spine panel ends, and paper tape reinforcement of the folds on the verso. Signed by Jacqueline Cochran and Floyd B. Odlum on the front free endpaper as well as numerous other aviation pioneers, including: Katherine Stinson, William Randolph Lovelace, II, Hanna Reitsch, and Bruce Gimbel, who flew for Cochran in the 1946 Bendix Air Race. Also signed on Foreword by Chuck Yeager. Pioneer aviator, Jacqueline Cochran, was a WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) commander during World War II and the first woman pilot to break the sound barrier.
